Fans were eagerly waiting for CM Punk’s return on the debut episode of Collision, as it marked the first time he appeared on AEW television since All Out last year. CM Punk has largely been appearing on AEW Collision with FTR and fans have been enjoying his return so far. Now it appears he and FTR paid homage to Midnight Express’ Dennis Condrey after this week’s episode of AEW Collision went off the air.

The Second City Saint defended his ‘real’ AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks on this week’s episode of AEW Collision.CM Punk won the match, which was officiated by Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat.

After the show went off the air, Punk, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler paid homage to Dennis Condrey of the Midnight Express, after bringing him to the ring. Punk stated that without Ricky Steamboat, there would be no CM Punk and without Dennis Condrey, there would be no FTR.

Condrey hugged CM Punk before Harwood and Wheeler explained how much of an influence he had on their careers. The pro wrestling legend spoke on the mic, stating that FTR are the best team in the world, noting that they have kept the Midnight Express alive with their music.

CM Punk and FTR’s AEW All In matches have more or less been confirmed. We’ll have to wait and see how they will be booked as we approach the All In Premium Live Event.
