We previously reported that Vince McMahon wasn’t going to be at SummerSlam. It turns out that he didn’t even pick up the phone to give anyone a call about changes he wanted to see on the show.
Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that Vince McMahon made no changes to SummerSlam during the afternoon or this evening of the show.
Vince McMahon is currently on a medical leave of absence from the company. When we brought this up, we were told that Vince is “supposed to be” staying away from work, but no one in the creative team “really thinks that will last.”
We were additionally told that the entire WWE creative team really doubts it, because “the moment he can, he’ll be involved.” After all, you can never forget that, “he’s Vince!”
Vince McMahon just had life-altering spinal surgery, and the Feds are looking into his hush money payments. Obviously, he has a lot going on, so he can take it easy from WWE if he wants to.
