WWE has been undergoing a wide variety of changes ever since Triple H took over as head of Creative last year. This has brought upon a lot of positive changes and that includes the commentary team. It appears WWE has changed up the commentary team once again.
Michael Cole has been considered the voice of WWE for 25 years now. He started out as a backstage interviewer and eventually moved his way up the corporate ladder. His passion for the business is never in doubt.
For a long time now, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett had served as the commentators for Friday Night Smackdown while Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick worked on Monday Night RAW.
According to a report by Variety, starting this Monday, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be joining the commentary team on Monday Night RAW. It was added that Cole will remain on SmackDown while being joined by Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves beginning August 11th.
It was added that WWE is still quite high on Kevin Patrick and believes that having him work with Cole will only benefit his growth as a play-by-play commentator. Regardless, we’ll have to see how the changes will affect WWE’s overall product.
