NXT has undergone quite a few changes over the years, especially after NXT 2.0 debuted back in 2021. Things are different now after Shawn Michaels reverted it back to the black and gold era but with an added emphasis on younger talent. Now it appears some believe star power has improved NXT.

For the past few months now, NXT has been utilizing main roster talent for its various feuds and surprise matches. This includes Seth Rollins defending his WWE World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker.

Even the likes of Dominik Mysterio and Judgment Day are a regular feature on NXT television. While speaking on K100 with Konnan & Disco, Konnan stated that he believes star power has improved NXT.

“It was really terrible compared to what we were doing before when Seth Rollins was there and all those f***ing greats — everybody was over there. They were just having great matches and great storylines and we were loving it, ” Konnan said. “Now I watched it on Tuesday and it was good. It was a good show. Every show is good now.”

“They’re not all great, but they’re watchable, which ‘Raw’ and ‘NXT’ wasn’t for a long time and bro, it just looks major league. I go back to what I said when it first happened. I said the reason ‘NXT’ is not going to beat ‘AEW’ [in the Wednesday night wars] is you’re not bringing enough stars or big enough stars on the show and now they’re doing it and those are the results.”

The NXT Great American Bash was a solid Premium Live Event for fans and now it remains to be seen whether the brand will continue to move forward with their momentum and improve the product even more.
