AEW is set to hold the biggest event in the company’s history in London’s Wembley Stadium on August 27th. All In London will be a massive show, but there will also be some notable absences on the roster.
Thunder Rosa has been out of action with an injury since last year, when she had to drop the AEW Women’s Championship in the process. That whole situation was filled with a ton of controversy, and some of the backstage drama was captured on their AEW All Access reality television show.
Thunder Rosa later appeared on AEW Dynamite prior to Collision’s debut. She was supposedly waiting to see Tony Khan about getting a spot on AEW’s Saturday night show, but she hasn’t returned yet. In the meantime, Thunder Rosa has been a part of the AEW Spanish language commentary team.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Thunder Rosa’s injury won’t pass any time soon. At this point, she is not expected to be back before this month’s huge London event.
As of this week, add Thunder Rosa to the list of those who are not expected back in time for Wembley although she is training for her return
Jamie Hayter is also out of action with an injury, and she isn’t expected to be back in the ring until 2024. AEW’s women’s division has also received a spotlight for some pretty negative reasons lately as well.
Tony Khan has been accused to trying to turn the AEW women’s division back to the Divas Era.Obviously, the entire landscape of the AEW women’s division could look very different by the time Jamie Hayter and Thunder Rosa are able to return.
