Sheamus has achieved a great deal in WWE, having won numerous titles since his debut back in 2009. However, the tides have not turned in his favor as of late and he was left off the WWE Money In The Bank event. Now it appears that snub really affected The Celtic Warrior.
The Celtic Warrior saw a career resurgence last year after his incredible match against Gunther at the Clash At The Castle Premium Live Event. Unfortunately, WWE didn’t book him well after that and Sheamus also believes WWE wasted his organic momentum following the event.
While speaking with the Daily Star, Sheamus further expressed his frustrations about his booking in WWE. Sheamus admitted that he was gutted and bitter after being left off the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event.
“I was gutted about Money in the Bank, but obviously delighted Butch was in there and did a hell of a job. Ridge the night before against Theory, I’d have liked to have seen him get a bit more time in there. I was just bitter I wasn’t (wrestling on the show). They know when they put me on Smackdown every week they’re going to get two or three killer segments, but when it comes to the pay-per-views and you have the part-timers coming into the limelight, that stings a little bit.”
Sheamus will be competing in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam this week, but nothing else seems planned for him right now. We’ll have to wait and see if WWE will decide ti hive him a big push in the future.
