Bryan Danielson’s arm was fractured during the AEW & NJPW Forbidden door main event match against Kazuchika Okada. The finish of that match needed to be changed, but Danielson was always set to win the match. Sadly, he had to take time off from the ring after that to heal his injury.
Tony Khan previously commented on Bryan Danielson’s injury status. It was noted that Bryan Danielson is expected to be back in the ring later this year.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted a bit more of a specific date regarding Bryan Danielson’s return to the ring. It was noted in the newsletter that Bryan Danielson is expected to be back in October. That won’t keep him out of action for very much longer, but he will miss a few big events.
Bryan Danielson got his surgery for his broken arm on 7/3 and that the time was told three months before he could return, although it’s possible he could beat that by a week or two. All In and All Out are out, Wrestle Grand Slam doesn’t look good but I don’t want to say impossible, but he should be back in October.
Bryan Danielson was on a roll in AEW at the time of his injury. That broken arm certainly stopped his momentum, and it’s very possible that it called for him to be pulled from the Blood & Guts match as well.
We will have to see how long it takes for Bryan Danielson to make his return to the ring. Obviously, he will likely come back with a lot of momentum. Only time will tell what that AEW landscape looks like by the time his injury period is over.
