Bobby Roode hasn’t been around for a while, but he will be backstage for SummerSlam. It turns out that WWE might have found a new role for the veteran performer outside the ring, and it could be one that a guy like Roode might excel in .

It was previously reported that Bobby Roode is in Detroit ahead of SummerSlam. This gave some fans hope that they might see him again. That might not be the case, unless there is a situation where they show producers backstage during a segment.

PW Insider reports that Roode is in Detroit, because he will be helping out as a producer. That role will carry on to RAW on Monday as well.

As PWInsider.com broke yesterday, Bobby Roode is in town in Detroit for Summerslam.

In asking around today, we are told he will be helping out as a Producer and will also be at Raw this Monday in that role.

Roode last wrestled for WWE in late 2022 and has undergone several neck surgeries since that time.

As previously reported, Bobby Roode is expected to be out of action for a considerable amount of time as he underwent neck fusion surgery late last year, as opposed to earlier that year. Roode is now rehabbing his neck injury, but he has not even mentioned retiring yet.

Bobby Roode has decades in the pro wrestling business, and although he never reached the top of WWE, he did hold the NXT Title and have a Glorious run in the developmental brand. Obviously, Roode could also bring a lot to the table in terms of a producer role.
