WWE has a lot of options coming up, and their television rights deals are always a big subject of conversation. At this point, WWE has ran out of their window to have exclusive talks with NBCU and FOX for their programming, and other offers could be on the table.

Warner Bros Discovery is AEW’s television home, as they host Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision on their channels. They even have a exclusive deal with Tony Khan’s company for content that saw them nix the two AEW Dark YouTube shows in the process. That being said, Warner Bros Discovery could want even more pro wrestling action.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Warner Bros Discovery could be interested in SmackDown. After all, FOX is reportedly close to not being game to offer WWE much more for the blue brand so they will stay on the network.

There is talk of Warner Bros Discovery being interested in WWE, with the idea that they would have the entire pro wrestling market, but I don’t see that at all. There is interest, but I don’t see WWE going on the same station as AEW, and certainly if they did there would be no agreement to cross-promote.

It was noted that Warner Bros Discovery is interested in doing the same thing that ESPN did with MMA, how they have the PFL, UFC, and they’re looking to pick up more. Only time will tell what happens in this situation.

Warner Bros Discovery very well may pick up SmackDown if the numbers are there. After all, WWE is open for business, and it might not mater to them that they share a network with AEW for the right money, although it would be a huge shock if it happens.
