Kevin Owens has accomplished a lot in his WWE career and has been part of numerous memorable angles. This includes his memorable run with Chris Jericho a few years ago. Now it appears Owens feels ashamed he didn’t enjoy teaming up with Chris Jericho.

One of the highlights of Chris Jericho’s last run in WWE was certainly his program with Kevin Owens. The two became one of the top attractions for the company back in 2016 and early 2017. The two would split up during the Festival of Friendship segment, where Owens betrayed Chris Jericho in epic “Red Wedding” fashion.

They faced off at WrestleMania 33 for the United States Championship, where Owens won. Many fans didn’t like the booking as well as their position on the card.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani of TNT Sports, Kevin Owens talked about the time he teamed up with Chris Jericho. Owens admitted he feels ashamed he didn’t enjoy teaming up with Chris Jericho as much as he should have.

“I got to team with Chris Jericho for a long time and I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t enjoy that as much as I should’ve, looking back at it now I’ll see clips online, and Chris and I will text about them, you know reminisce of stuff we did together and I’m like that was a great time but in that moment I can tell you I was not feeling that at all.

I was always worried about what’s next. How are we going to make this better? So I don’t do that anymore I really just try to do what I’m doing from day to day. You can ask me what I wanna do next week right now and I won’t have an answer for you because I haven’t thought about it.”

Jericho also isn’t interested in returning to WWE to face Kevin Owens again. The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships won’t be defended at SummerSlam as Kevin Owens is out of action with a broken rib. We’ll have to wait and see when Owens will be back.
