Carmella has carved out a spot for herself in the WWE women’s division, despite not fitting the mould of a gifted in-ring performer. Mella overcame personal tragedy while back and was supported by friends, family and her fans throughout that entire ordeal.
The former SmackDown Women’s champion came out of a personal family tragedy. Carmella, alongside her husband Corey Graves, was expecting their first child. However, she announced that she suffered a miscarriage back in October.
Carmella stayed strong and then previously stated that she wanted to have baby this year. Thankfully, Carmella will finally get her wish as the WWE Superstar announced that she is pregnant.
While speaking to Distractify, Carmella talked about her in-ring future after pregnancy. The Princess Of Staten Island confirmed that she will not retire and will return to the ring eventually.
“I definitely want to go back (…) I’m someone who likes to be, you know, active and keep busy. So it’s definitely hard, I think, to go from working so much all the time and being on the road all the time to the exact opposite. I definitely want to go back; I think it’s important to show that you can be a mom and still have a career and especially a very physical one.”
Carmella revealed her baby bump at 20 weeks of pregnancy as well. We will have to wait and see when Carmella will be able to make her return to the squared circle after giving birth to her daughter.
