Bobby Roode hasn’t wrestled in a very long time. His last match was at a house show in Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas in June 2022 where he lost to Omos. Now, fans are waiting for his in-ring return, but there could be a good sign in that direction coming this weekend.
As previously reported, Bobby Roode is expected to be out of action for a considerable amount of time as he underwent neck fusion surgery late last year, as opposed to earlier that year. Roode is now rehabbing his neck injury, but he has not even mentioned retiring yet.
According to a report from PW Insider, Bobby Rood is in Detroit, the home of SummerSlam this Saturday. It was not noted that he will be featured on the show.
WWE star Bobby Roode, who has been out of action since 2022 with numerous neck surgeries, has been spotted in Detroit ahead of this Saturday’s Summerslam event.
Bobby Roode might have a lot of time left to wait or his injury hiatus to end. At this point, WWE doesn’t want to take any chances on him, and they want him to wait until he’s 100% to make a return. It might also be worth nothing that Roode lives in Canada, so Detroit is much closer for him to make the trip.
That being said, Triple H booked Roode incredibly well, and in glorious fashion, in NXT. Only time will tell if Triple H ever gets an opportunity to see if he can replicate some of that magic on the WWE main roster.
