Cody Rhodes came back to WWE at WrestleMania 38 last year and wasted no time in making an impact after defeating Seth Rollins in his return match. Rhodes is one of the biggest names in Vince McMahon’s company right now. That said, it appears Cody Rhodes doubts he will be part of the WarGames match this year.
WWE brought debuted in the main roster for the first time last year, which saw The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) against The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland), Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens in the match.
Dusty Rhodes famously created WarGames, which was first used in 1987 and became a regular fixture at WCW events. While speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Cody Rhodes made it clear that he doubts he will be part of the WarGames match this year.
Just not gonna happen. I’m not gonna get picked for the WarGames team or who knows what I could be doing that night. It would be a really special thing if I could.
Before anything else, Cody Rhodes has to deal with The Beast Incarnate at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event this week. It remains to be seen how the match will turn out.
