WWE has a few big future stars in NXT, but few have the upside that Tiffany Stratton possesses. That being said, she might need a new nickname as NXT Women’s Champion.
WWE’s enthusiasm for NXT’s Tiffany Stratton remains very clear, as she was heavily featured during the latest episode of Raw on July 31st. She was featured in a video package where a new nickname was on full display.
Following the excitement of the Great American Bash, last night’s Raw showcased promotional clips for tonight’s NXT, and the spotlight was entirely on NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. The newly dubbed ‘Blockbuster Blonde’ received such attention that it seemed she had joined the alliterative nickname club, a recent introduction by Vince McMahon.
The ad campaign took inspiration from the new Barbie movie, a fitting choice as Stratton often refers to herself as the ‘Buff Barbie.’ This marks another instance where WWE chose to center their promotion of NXT around Stratton, similar to a previous occasion during Spring Breakin’, which resulted in a ratings boost attributed to the focus on her.
This builds for tonight’s NXT, where Tiffany Stratton will play a role, after retaining her championship against Thea Hail at Great American Bash, thanks to Andre Chase’s intervention.
This week’s episode of NXT will also feature other exciting matchups, including Eddy Thorpe vs. Dijak, Jacy Jayne vs. Lyra Valkyria, and Lola Vice & Elektra Lopez vs. Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon. Furthermore, the “interrogation” of Joe Gacy’s Schism faction members may reveal the Creed Brothers as potential “secret” Schism members, unless it’s meant to be a swerve. With the recent integration of Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley, NXT hopes to maintain its positive momentum in the ratings, and the push for Tiffany Stratton will likely play a significant role in the show’s success.
