Santos Escobar Returns To WWE NXT As Surprise Partner In Main Event

You never know who will show up in NXT, and the main roster is not limited at this point. It seems that WWE thought NXT fans needed another big surprise this week, as Santos Escobar made his return to the brand.

Tony D’Angelo and Stacks needed a partner to face Gallus this week on NXT. Nobody knew who they would pick as their partner, and fans certainly didn’t expect to see another main roster Superstar make a surprise appearance during the show.

Santos Escobar came out, and the LWO music popped fans in the NXT Arena in a big way. Then he made his way to the ring and got right to action.

This marked the first time that Santos Escobar has been in NXT since Legado Del Fantasma was drafted to the WWE main roster. Obviously, everyone was happy to see him, as fans gave him a loud “welcome back” chant.

Santos Escobar is #1 contender for Austin Theory’s United States Title. Needless to say, this was a big get for the NXT brand. It’s likely just for one night, but you never know what can happen in WWE anymore.
