Rhea Ripley is most certainly one of the top female WWE Superstars right now and she has garnered a major fanbase thanks to her incredible dedication to her craft. She is a very dominant champion, running roughshod over the women’s division. That said, it appears she set a very unfortunate WWE milestone recently.

Rhea Ripley became the new champion after defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year. She would then go on to defend her title a few times after the Premium Live Event.

The Eradicator was likely set to square off against Raquel Rodrigeuz at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, but that all changed after this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, as Raquel was deemed unfit to compete.

As pointed out by a fan on Twitter, Rhea Ripley is now the first female WWE Superstar in a decade to not compete at SummerSlam despite being a champion. The last person with this milestone was Layla.

We will have to wait and see what will become of Rhea Ripley now that she no longer has anything to do at SummerSlam. Regardless, fans are disappointed with this outcome.
