Chelsea Green Was Backstage At WWE RAW This Week But Not Used

WWE brought a packed episode this week as the go-home episode before SummerSlam. This included some big storyline updates, but fans didn’t see the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Interestingly enough, Chelsea Green was actually around.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE fans didn’t see Chelsea Green this week on RAW, but she was actually around backstage. It was not noted why she wasn’t used.

Sonya Deville’s name was not included in the report. It is possible that WWE didn’t use Chelsea Green because her tag team partner wasn’t around.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are not defending their titles at SummerSlam. Only time will tell when they put their titles on the line again, or who they defend them again. Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville obviously have management’s trust at this point, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see them carry those titles for a while.

We will have to see what WWE does in this situation with Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green’s title run. It appears that they might have been given a week or so off to get SummerSlam out of the way, but they are still both full-time Superstars.
