WWE RAW Results Coverage, Reactions & Highlights For July 31, 2023

It’s Monday night, and you know what that means! WWE RAW will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

Tonight promises another exciting night of action as Cody Rhodes will come face-to-face with Brock Lesnar one last time before their clash at SummerSlam. Sami Zayn will team up with Seth Rollins to face Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest. The updated match card is as follows:

WWE RAW Opener:

The opening package for the show airs. The commentators welcome the audience to the show.

Logan Paul’s music plays and he walks to the ring. He starts by welcoming the audience to RAW. He then insults the crowd. He says he is here for Ricochet. He says he attempted to introduce Ricochet to his audience and build some hype around their match but he was sneak attacked. He says Ricochet made a spectacle out of the whole thing while he was down. Paul says he is going to beat Ricochet in the most viral match in WWE history.

Ricochet’s music plays and he walks to the ring. He says he was in his livestream last week but he is in his head this week. He accuses Logan of trying to spin the story to make himself a good guy but he is not a good guy. He says their match at SummerSlam will be box office but he needs to say something. He then says he respects that Logan is a great athlete.

Logan says he appreciates that and he says Ricochet is one of the greatest to ever do it until he showed up. He says this started at the Royal Rumble when he made them go viral and he asks for their spot to be played on the large screen.

Logan says they are going to put on a hell of a match and offers a fist bump. Ricochet fist-bumps him. He is about to leave and Logan stops him to say that Samantha Irvin who is Ricochet’s fiance announces him as the winner. Ricochet takes down Logan. Ricochet hits a enzuigiri. Ricochet goes for a dive but is taken out by Logan Paul with a punch.

Imperium is interviewed backstage. Gunther says he doesn’t live in the past. He says he is disappointed by Kaiser because he could’ve stopped all this last week. He says he will take of Drew McIntyre but he is not here. He says Kaiser has a chance to redeem himself against Matt Riddle. He says he will end McIntyre once and for all at SummerSlam.

Matt Riddle vs. Ludwig Kaiser

Matt Riddle’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Imperium’s theme song plays and they walk to the ring.

The match begins and Riddle takes down Kaiser. Kaiser fights back and attacks Riddle in the corner. He goes to work on Riddle. Riddle with a gutwrench suplex. He attacks Kaiser in the corner. Riddle is sent into the post. Kaiser sends him out of the ring.

He hits an uppercut on Riddle and sends him into the ring. Riddle sends Kaiser out of the ring and hits the floating bro.

*Commercial break*

Riddle with an overhead kick. He attacks Kaiser with forearms and an exploder suplex. He hits a broton. Riddle with a German suplex. Cover! 1….2…..kick out. He hits another broton. He goes for it again but Kaiser gets his knees up. Kaiser with a clothesline.

Kaiser slams him into the mat and he kicks him in the chest. Riddle comes back with a ripcord knee and a fisherman suplex. Vinci gets on the apron. Riddle knocks him down and hits a powerbomb followed by a knee to the face. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Both men exchange strikes. Riddle hits a dropkick. He climbs the top rope and goes for a moonsault and misses. Kaiser hit the running enzuigiri and follows hit with a DDT for the win.

Winner: Ludwig Kaiser

Maxxine is shown getting hyped for her match. Valhalla is also shown in a trance.

Byron interviews Logan Paul who says he gave Ricochet a small taste of what will happen at SummerSlam. He says their match will be one of the most viral matches in WWE history.

Maxxine Dupri vs. Valhalla

Maxxine Dupri’s music plays and she comes down to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Valhalla’s music plays and she walks to the ring with the Viking Raiders.

The match begins and Valhalla with a shotgun knee. She then attacks Maxxine. Maxxine comes back with a couple of arm drags. Valhalla comes back with a knee. Cover! 1…2…kick out.

Valhalla goes to work on Maxxine. But Maxxine comes back with a fisherman suplex. She attacks Valhalla in the corner. Maxxine hit the caterpillar. She then climbs the top rope and hits a crossbody. Cover but Erik distracts the referee. A brawl breaks out on the outside and Gable hits a moonsault.

Valhalla attacks Maxxine from behind and goes for a superplex but she escapes and hits an electric chair for the win.

Winner: Maxxine Dupri

Judgment Day’s music plays and they walk out to the ring.

Shinsuke Nakamura is backstage and Tommaso Ciampa comes in and says they have a problem and he is going to fix it. He says he is ready to fight anyone and gain some momentum. He says he will win the SummerSlam battle royale. Nakamura says he will win the SummerSlam battle royale.

The judgment Day is in the ring. Rhea says RAW doesn’t start till they say it does. She says they have no problem putting people on the shelf because no one is going to stop them. Damian Priest then lists people they have hurt. He then says nobody can stop Judgment Day.

Priest says if Sami and Seth show up, he can Dominik will make sure they don’t leave the arena whole. Balor says Rollins comes out and acts insane. He says insanity is waking up every day for seven and seeing the scars he inflicted on him. Balor says he will inflict scars on Rollins and it will make him feel better. Dominik then says he is bringing back the Mysterio name. Rhea says Dominik is going to bring some pride to the Mysterio name. She then advices anyone who wants to get in their way should run and hide or else they will end up in rehab.

Raquel Rodriguez’s music plays and she comes out and they brawl in the ring. She sends Ripley out of the ring. She sends Rhea into the barricade and the post. Dominik distracts her and Rhea attacks the injured leg. Rhea continues to attack the injured knee.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Shinsuke Nakamura’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Alpha Academy is backstage and Gable says Maxxine represented them well. They are joined by Imperium and Gunther says Gable turned what Kaiser did earlier into a joke. Maxxine reminds them of Gable and Otis’ promise. Gunther says Gable is not worth his time. Kaiser says he wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the ring with Gunther. Gunther says he won’t need five minutes. Gable accepts and asks Gunther to leave his stablemates in the back.

Ciampa is in the ring. The match starts and Nakamura attacks Ciampa in the corner. Ciampa comes back with a backbreaker. He then hits a dropkick. Nakamura fights back against Ciampa.

He kicks Ciampa in the chest. Nakamura sends him into the ring. Ciampa rocks Nakamura with a knee. He hits him with another knee.

*Commercial break*

Nakamura with an enzuigiri. He hits a sliding German suplex. Cover! 1…2….kick out. Ciampa hits a draping DDT. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Ciampa goes for the fairytale ending but Nakamura rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Raquel is getting checked by a doctor. Pearce comes in and tells her she is not cleared for a match against Rhea but she can have her match when she is cleared.

Brock Lesnar’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Brock starts by introducing himself to the crowd. He says this Saturday, he will get paid to fight Cody Rhodes. He says this Saturday, Cody gets paid to get beaten by Brock. He then invites Cody to come to the ring and shake his hand. He then says if Cody doesn’t shake his hand, he will see him Saturday and gives him five seconds before he leaves.

Cody Rhodes’ music plays and he walks to the ring. Cody offers his hand for a handshake and Brock shakes his hand. Brock shoves Cody on his way out of the ring. Cody then dives onto Lesnar. Brock slams him into the post. He then hits Cody with steel steps. Brock does the same thing again. He hits him a third time with the steel steps and walks away. He comes back and sends Cody into the ring and hits the F-5.

*Commercial break*

Gunther vs. Chad Gable

Gunther’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

The match begins and Gunther knocks Gable down. He stomps Gable. Gunther hits a bodyslam. Cover! 1….2…..kick out. He attacks Gable in the corner. Gunther chops down Gable. Gunther goes for the powerbomb but Gable locks in the ankle lock. Gunther powers out of it.

He locks in the sleeper hold on Gable. Gunther goes for the powerbomb but Gable sends Gunther out of the ring as the time runs out.

Gunther grabs the mic and says the match is not over. He demands more time get added to the clock. The announcer announces that the match will continue. Chad hits a dropkick.

*Commercial break*

Gable tries to fight back but is stopped. Gunther sets Gable on the top rope but he comes back with an armbar. Gable with a dropkick. He locks in the arm bar again. Gunther powers out of it and hits a German suplex.

Gunther climbs the top rope but Gable hits a superplex. Gable hits a German suplex on Gunther. Gunther comes back with a clothesline. Cover! 1…2….kick out. Gunther with multiple chops to Gable. Gunther hits the powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Gunther

Gunther gets on the mic and asks the fans to get used to him celebrating his success. He says he will not lose the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. He says he will end Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.

Rollins and Sami are backstage and Rollins is fired up for his match later on tonight.

Becky Lynch’s music plays and she walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Byron interviews Cody Rhodes who says Lesnar could break his arms but he will bring the same level of brutality at SummerSlam when he shatters Brock.

Becky Lynch is in the ring and she says she has done and said everything to get her rematch and now there is nothing left to do and she can’t think of a better time than now. She then calls out Trish Stratus.

Trish’s music plays and she walks out. Trish says she was about to do this match but nobody tells her how to fight. She says Becky will get her rematch but she will decide. She says she is not a cheater and won’t cheat her out of her rematch. Adam Pearce interrupts and says the match is going to happen tonight and he asks the referee to come out for the match.

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus

The match starts and Becky attacks Trish. Zoey gets in the ring and attacks Becky Lynch. Becky tries to fight back but Trish also attacks her.

Winner: Becky Lynch via DQ

Becky sends Trish over the barricade. Zoey attacks her from behind. Becky sends her into the post. Trish attacks Becky with a steel chair.

*Commercial break*

Trish and Zoey are walking backstage. Pearce tells them it’s unacceptable. He then says they will face each other with Stark barred from ringside in two weeks.

Sami Zayn & Seth Rollins vs. Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest)

Sami Zayn’s music plays and he comes out to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Seth Rollins’ music plays and he walks to the ring. The Judgment Day’s theme song plays and they come down to the ring.

Rollins and Sami attack Judgment Day and a brawl breaks out. Sami dives onto Priest. Rollins hits the suicide dive on Balor and chases him backstage.

*Commercial break*

Dominik attacks Rollins in the corner. Rollins slams Dominik onto the turnbuckle. Rollins tags out and Sami attacks Dominik. Priest tags in and attacks Sami.

Sami tags out and Rollins continues to attack Priest. Priest with an uppercut to Rollins. Dominik tags in and attacks Rollins. Priest tags in and kicks Rollins in the face. Rollins is sent to the apron. Balor comes back and sends Rollins into the post.

*Commercial break*

Rollins tags out and Sami attacks Priest. He hits a clothesline on Priest. Sami sends Priest outside the ring. He then dives onto Priest. He sends Priest into the ring and hits the tornado DDT. Cover! 1…2…..Dominik makes the save. Priest tags out.

Dominik goes for the 619 but Sami catches him with a clothesline. Sami tags out and Seth hits the sling blade. He then dives onto Priest multiple times. Rollins sends Priest into the ring. He hits a superkick. Rhea distracts the referee and Dominik takes advantage. Sami takes out Dominik.

Rhea distracts Sami and Balor dropkicks him. Rollins climbs the top rope but Priest hits the Razor’s edge on Rollins. He asks Balor to get him the contract. Balor hands him the contract. Rollins superkicks him and hits the stomp for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn
