Drew McIntyre just returned to WWE at Money in the Bank, where he made a beeline to GUNTHER. Now, with a big title match booked for SummerSlam at Detroit’s Ford Field on August 5th, McIntyre doesn’t want to miss any action, but that might be unavoidable.
Drew McIntyre has picked up a few acting roles outside WWE in the past. It appears that he is involved with another project, and that will cause the Scottish Warrior to miss next week’s show.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Drew McIntyre won’t be on the go-home RAW before SummerSlam. He still has a match planned against GUNTHER at the biggest party of the summer, but McIntyre is busy on the Monday before.
He’s been shooting a movie in Budapest, Hungary, and next week that’s where he will be. So, he won’t be there at RAW, because he’ll be in Budapest.
It wasn’t noted which movie Drew McIntyre is involved with at this time. As we previously reported, Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan are no longer appearing in the highly-anticipated Mildred Burke biopic.
We will have to see if Drew McIntyre misses even more WWE action in the months and years to come thanks to other commitments. A life as an actor after WWE is tempting for a lot of people, and McIntyre might have that airport appeal to get him several acting callbacks and roles to follow.
