Cody Rhodes’ comeback to WWE during WrestleMania 38 was greatly anticipated, and his entrance captivated audiences. He became a huge deal in no time as WWE fully believed in him as well. Rhodes is also known for his bizarre neck tattoo, and now it appears he disclosed the inspiration behind his tattoo.

The prominent American Nightmare tattoo on Cody Rhodes’ neck was unveiled at AEW Revolution 2020. Rhodes arrived in the arena with this new addition to his personality for his scheduled bout against the current AEW World champion, MJF.

Rhodes previously revealed that showing his tattoo to Vince McMahon helped him keep his popular presentation after joining WWE. In fact, McMahon even suggested new logo for Rhodes.

The American Nightmare took to Twitter and was asked for the inspiration behind his tattoo. Rhodes revealed that Brock Lesnar and The Rock inspired him.

I don’t really know 😂

There were 2 guys that really inspired me, one had a chest tat and the other had the iconic bull on his arm…at the time I just wanted to wear my own brand as loudly and proudly as I could but didn’t want to copy their style

Cody Rhodes has clearly not forgotten his feud with Roman Reigns, but he has to deal with The Beast Incarnate at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event next month. It remains to be seen how the match will turn out.
