WWE has their eye on the entire pro wrestling world, but they must be very careful about talking to talent who are contracted with other companies. Since MLW’s antitrust lawsuit is still in full-swing, they just can’t risk it. That won’t stop members of their roster from reaching out to anyone they like for personal reasons.

We previously reported that The Elite are expected to stay in AEW. That list of notable names includes Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page as well. That being said, Cody Rhodes is still a part of the picture, if anything he’s had a lot of contact with the Young Bucks.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes are actually speaking to each other more now than they ever have in the past. It was also mentioned that the upcoming Cody Rhodes documentary with WWE will include some Being The Elite clips.

Regarding the Young Bucks cooperating with Cody Rhodes on the Peacock documentary and releasing some BTE footage and Rhodes saying they talk regularly, the three actually talk more now than even before.

We will have to see if the Young Bucks stick around AEW, because they can certainly make a great living with Tony Khan’s company. They might not need to check WWE off their bucket list at this point, because it’s anyone’s guess what challenges and opportunities await them.

WWE had their eye on The Elite, including The Young Bucks, years ago, but it just didn’t happen. Instead, they became EVPs in AEW, except for Hangman Page, and it appears that the situation is not going to change for Nick and Matt Jackson at this point, but at least they are still talking to Cody.

AEW might feel it in a bad way if The Young Bucks ever left the company. Do you think that it’s going to happen? Sound off in the comments!
