Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the mainstays of WWE’s Attitude Era and also during the Ruthless Aggression Era. After getting released by the company in 2007, he returned as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in 2016. However, he would request his release from the company last year. That said, now it appears he worked as a producer during AEW Dynamite this week.
The former WWE Superstar gave his all as a coach for developmental wrestlers in NXT and made it clear he loved his time there. However, Scotty 2 Hotty also hated walking on eggshells in NXT 2.0.
After his WWE departure, Scotty 2 Hotty competed in the independent scene. According to PWInsider, the former WWE Superstar worked last night’s AEW Dynamite taping in Albany, NY as a Coach/Producer.
It was further reported that Scotty 2 Hotty “was brought in by the promotion for what we were told is a tryout in the position.” It was also noted that “he is expected to be around at least for the next several weeks.”
Former WWE star Scott “Taylor” Garland aka Scotty Too Hotty worked last night’s AEW Dynamite taping in Albany, NY as a Coach/Producer, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Garland, a former WWE Performance Center Coach who resigned from that position back in early 2022, was brought in by the promotion for what we were told is a tryout in the position.
He is expected to be around at least for the next several weeks.
We will have to wait and see whether the former WWE Superstar will end up becoming a permanent fixture of AEW in the role of a backstage producer, as his expertise would certainly be valuable to Tony Khan’s company.
