Baron Corbin has been part of WWE for ten years now, and he made the most out of any role that was given to him. In fact, Corbin has gone through various changes over the years and remains relevant even now. Now it appears Corbin disclosed how John Cena helped his career immensely.

Corbin’s gimmick was eventually changed to Happy Corbin and has been one of the most hated heels in WWE. He then took a hiatus from WWE television and came back as Baron Corbin, this time alongside JBL.

Prior to all this, Corbin was known as ‘Bum ass Corbin’ who had the worst luck in the world. Corbin’s character actually managed to garner a lot of sympathy from the WWE Universe.

While speaking on After The Bell with Corey Graves, Baron Corbin talked about how John Cena helped his career immensely thanks to the incredible advice he was given by the Leader Of Cenation.

”I had a lot of conversations with John Cena, and he’s a guy that will give you the truth no matter what. There’s few people in this business who will do that. Two things that he’s really preached on me is always think about what’s next … a lot of guys don’t do that. When I had a match with him at SummerSlam, he said to think about Monday night. I always try to think of that.

The other thing that really stuck with me that John has preached, which I think helped my career immensely, was how do you take what you’re given and make it the absolute best you can. We all get promos, we all get opportunities, we all get things that we may or may not want to do … how do I make it stand out, how do I make it amazing, how do I take it and turn it into gold? If you can do that, you’ll get longevity in your new career.”

Baron Corbin is set to square off against Gable Steveson at the Great American Bash Premium Live Event on July 30th. We’ll have to wait and see whe6hrt he will be able to defeat Steveson.
