WWE released several Superstars during the pandemic, including Aiden English, but Simon Gotch was already gone from the company prior to that. Their team, the Vaudevillains, were an NXT standout group, as they even got an extra grainy effect slapped on their old-timey entrance. Now, they are getting the group back together.

The Vaudevillains are making a long-awaited reunion on the independent wrestling scene, six years after their last match together. Sadly, this won’t take place in WWE, but fans might see a lot more of the team in the future.

Simon Gotch recently took to Twitter to confirm the news, announcing that he and Matt Rehwoldt, formerly known as Aiden English, are now available for bookings after years of absence. Gotch expressed enthusiasm for their return and urged interested parties to swiftly reach out for bookings.

Back in 2014, Gotch and Rehwoldt formed an intriguing duo in WWE’s NXT brand, initially portraying heels. However, due to their growing popularity with the fans, they eventually became fan favorites. The high point of their NXT journey came at the inaugural NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event in 2015 when they captured the NXT Tag Team Championships. Their title reign lasted for a commendable 62 days before ultimately conceding the belts to The Revival.

Now, wrestling fans can look forward to witnessing the charismatic and talented Vaudevillains grace the independent circuit once again, bringing their unique charm and skills to the ring. We can only imagine that they will have tons of fans show up, looking to relive those glory days from NXT.

Only time will tell if The Vaudevillains make their way back to WWE, or even AEW. At this point, it seems that they are getting their team back together, so that chemistry could be alive and well once they step back in the ring.
