Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 was highly anticipated, and his entrance truly entranced fans. Rhodes has become a huge fan-favorite due to how he has been booked by WWE so far. That being said, many believed that Rhodes was going to run for President one day. That is no longer happening and it appears his daughter was a major factor in this decision.

In the past several years, there have been a good few wrestlers who have gotten involved in politics. This includes the likes of WWE Hall Of Fame Kane, Matt Morgan and more.

In fact, even Cody Rhodes had previously thrown his name into the political game. While speaking with SI Media, The American Nightmare stated that having his daughter and becoming a father allowed him to change his mindset about his career and veer away from politics.

“The moment that Brandi and I had a baby, that changed it all. Liberty is amazing and there is a zillion things I would say before this, but one of the selfish things that came from it was it freed me up, in my opinion, to be a better man. It freed me up to just go at this straight on. No politicking, no show business kinda stuff, no. I want to be the best. The best thing they have. And I’m going to work hard to do it. If I miss, it’s because of me and if I hit, it’s because of me.”
