Bobby Lashley, a two-time WWE Champion, is a highly regarded figure in the company. His current WWE run is his most successful to date, as the company has finally fully utilized his immense talent and dominance. Now it appears Lashley shot down an interesting fight idea.
Brock Lesnar was one of the top guys in the WWE in the early 2000s. After having achieved success so early on in his career, Lesnar left the WWE to try his hand at combat sports, and he signed with the UFC.
Bobby Lashley’s journey followed a similar trajectory. After achieving some success in the WWE, he ventured into Impact Wrestling as well as combat sports where he would compete in Bellator, and he was quite successful.
Despite their journeys following similar paths, the two men never crossed paths until a couple of years ago. While speaking with PERFORM Podcast, Lashley was asked about Frank Mir signing with WWE and possible opponents. The All Mighty made it clear he won’t be a stepping stone.
“If Frank Mir came into the WWE, I believe he should go through Brock to get to me, not me to get to Brock, because I’m not the stepping stone for anyone.”
Bobby Lashley has been on recent episodes of WWE SmackDown talking to Street Profits and Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the All Mighty.
