Roman Reigns has established himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The Tribal Chief has dominated the competition since his return back in 2020. Reigns continues to be a major draw for the company and it appears his latest match announcement has helped sell a ton of tickets for SummerSlam.

The Bloodline remains the most integral storyline in WWE right now, as each and every week of Smackdown builds up anticipation for what comes next. It is a proven fact the storyline is a true money-maker now.

During last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, it was officially announced that Roman Reigns and Jey Uso will battle it out in a Tribal Combat match at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed how the match announcement affected SummerSlam. Meltzer revealed that there has been a massive boost in ticket sales since the match was announced.

“The tickets have started to really pick up ever since Friday, which tells you Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, making it official and everything like that (led to a boost in ticket sales).

So they have topped 45,000 and they’re moving pretty good. We’re a couple of weeks away, I think they’re gonna get to 50,000, maybe more. The product’s super hot, the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso angle is obviously exceedingly strong.

We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book Roman Reigns and Jey Uso’s feud as we head towards SummerSlam. After all, fans are very excited about this matchup.
