Jeff Hardy is truly one of the most beloved professional wrestlers in the industry and not many would argue with that. Jeff Hardy has competed all over the world in different promotions, risking his body for the entertainment of fans. He also believes a match with CM Punk in AEW would be bizarre.
Back in 2009, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk engaged in one of the best feuds of their respective careers. It tackled Jeff Hardy’s real-life alcohol and substance abuse issues and turned CM Punk into a monster heel.
The Second City Saint would ultimately get the better of the exchange between the two. While speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm at MCW Pro Wrestling’s Fan Jam event over the weekend, Hardy was asked if he would want to work with CM Punk again in AEW.
Jeff Hardy made it clear that he definitely wants to revisit their feud in Tony Khan’s company and stated that he believes it would be bizarre in the best way possible.
Yeah, I haven’t thought about a match that much, I mean, I have a little bit, I just think what I’ve seen more than anything is there’s just a huge moment between me and CM Punk, because of the history alone.
Ultimately, I could see us having another match and I think it would bizarre in the best of ways.”
It remains to be seen when Punk and Hardy will cross paths in AEW, as a match between the two would certainly be a very big deal in AEW.
