Eric Young had a memorable run in NXT during his first run in the company, but all of that was in vain after he was called up to the main roster. After a break of a few years, he came back to WWE last year but didn’t even appear on television. Young then returned to Impact Wrestling recently and it appears that the President of Impact Wrestling threatened to punch Eric Young for an interesting reason.

It was previously reported that WWE signed Eric Young to a new contract in November last year, but he never debuted again. He was working backstage but never managed to do much.

Prior to this, Eric Young was a mainstay of Impact Wrestling before his departure from the company last year. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Young explained how current Impact Wrestling President Scott D’Amore threatened to punch him if he did not accept the offer to return to WWE.

“I talked to Scott before leaving last time and I didn’t want to leave then. It’s a wild thing, and Scott himself, who is a very honest person and a blunt person, he goes, ‘I’ll punch you if you don’t leave.’ Those were his words. And I don’t think he would have, but he might have tried, you never know. He’s a bit of a wild man.”
