Orange Cassidy Gets New Backstage Role In AEW

Orange Cassidy is more than just AEW International Champion. Now, Freshly Squeezed is helping out in other ways backstage. At this point in his career with AEW, it’s apparent that he should be taken seriously, despite so many collective eye-rolls when he first inked a deal.

Orange Cassidy consistently delivers in his International Title matches. Those contests remain stand-out performances, and you never really know how he will get out of any given situation. It seems that those contributions for Cassidy are no longer limited to the ring.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Orange Cassidy is now working as a backstage producer/agent for AEW as well. This adds another role to his already busy schedule.

Orange Cassidy is expanding beyond being one of the most impressive champions in AEW history.

In addition to keeping a busy schedule in the ring and as AEW International Champion, Fightful Select has learned that Orange Cassidy has also picked up work as a producer/agent in All Elite Wrestling. We’ve specifically learned that he produced recent matches between Infantry vs. Kingdom and Big Bill & Brian Cage vs. Matt Sydal & Trent.

The report noted that “producers/agents are on headset during the match, help make sure they’re on time, send directions to ringside, and also go over the matches with the talent themselves. They also relay pertinent spots to the television production so they know what to expect.”

We will have to see how Orange Cassidy’s role in AEW expands from this point on. Obviously, he is in a very good standing with Tony Khan’s company, and his position is incredibly solid at this juncture.
