WWE Preparing To Make Big SummerSlam Announcement On SmackDown

WWE is only a few weeks away from SummerSlam at this point, and they have a lot more of the card to book. Now, the company has confirmed one big announcement coming for SmackDown tonight.

Asuka is still riding a wave as WWE Women’s Champion. She still does not have an opponent for the big August 5th show in Detroit’s Ford Field. That will change this week.

WWE confirmed on social media that Asuka’s opponent for SummerSlam will be revealed tonight on SmackDown. It was not noted exactly how they will be determining who faces the Empress of Tomorrow.

WWE has a lot of choices for Asuka’s SummerSlam opponent. With so many viable options, it could be a triple threat match for all we know. Obviously, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair both want to make their mark at SummerSlam as well.
