Samoa Joe Loves Smashing CM Punk’s ‘Punchable Face’

Samoa Joe is a highly skilled and accomplished professional wrestler, who has competed all over the world over the past couple of decades. His physically imposing presence has helped make him a star in any promotion he has been a part of. Joe also loves smashing Punk’s face.

The Second City Saint has been a staple of AEW Collision since the debut episode and he is clearly happy to be back in the fold. He also faced off against Samoa Joe in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Cup tournament on AEW Collision.

While speaking to WrestleZone, Samoa Joe talked about his match with CM Punk. The Samoan Submission Machine made it clear he loves smashing Punk’s face.

“I think it speaks to how much people enjoy me punching Punk in the face. It’s kind of the overwhelming motivation for most people to tune into the match because I have a real good habit of smashing a lot of different angles. I’ll give you a lot of looks. You know, most people will only give you one or two looks. I’ll go for the jaw, come over the temple. I’ll really lump them up.

I think based on that, really, what it boils down to is that he has a very punchable face and I’m very good at punching it. You put those two massive, dynamic things together and people are bound to want to tune in and see what’s gonna happen.”

Samoa Joe is set to defend his ROH Television Championship against Dalton Castle at the upcoming ROH Death Before Dishonor. We’ll have to see how that will turn out.
