Lots Of WWE NXT Superstars Backstage At SmackDown This Week

WWE is giving a brand-new focus to their NXT brand, and tonight’s episode of SmackDown could continue that trend on FOX. With Dominik Mysterio as the new NXT North American Champion, it’s anyone’s guess what could pop off at this point. Now, we have a bit of a possible spoiler about tonight’s episode.

BWE noted behind their private Twitter account that WWE brought in a lot of NXT talent for this week’s SmackDown. It was not noted what WWE is going to do with this influx of developmental talent, but it is notable that they are present.

Only time will tell what WWE’s plan is for NXT. They really want to boost that brand’s value, which is especially important with television rights deals coming up sooner than later. It appears that this added attention is paying off.

The Judgment Day could be covered in gold soon enough, especially with rumors that WWE is considering a Latino champion, and Damian Priest is the current Senor Money in the Bank. If anything, Dominik Mysterio might have some NXT talent around to challenge for his new title.
