Roman Reigns has established himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The Tribal Chief has dominated the competition since his return back in 2020. Reigns continues to be a major draw for the company and it appears some believe he freaked people out backstage on Smackdown last week.

The Bloodline remains the most integral storyline in WWE right now, as each and every week of Smackdown builds up anticipation for what comes next. It is a proven fact the storyline is a true money-maker now.

Last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown featured The Bloodline in a major way. Before that, The Bloodline segment ran past its original runtime by crossing 40 minutes, leading to several cuts.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell talked about Roman Reigns’ segment running well past schedule, stating that it might have made some people freak out backstage.

“The girls only went two minutes, Zelina Vega and Bayley. They went two minutes, and I thought ‘Why?’, then I got to thinking and because last week I’m watching the Tribal Court and I thought ‘Damn this is long!’ and they were freaking in the back going, ‘it’s going over [time]’, ‘it’s going over’. And when they got those ratings back – 3 million at its peak. When was the last time RAW or SmackDown got 3 million people?

Actually, it went a little longer than I thought it should have gone, but Paul Heyman laid out the story, and when Solo [Sikoa] took the mic, the crowd got quiet. And then he started talking and they started their little fighting in the ring, it was perfect. [Referring to the July 14 SmackDown segment] And when Paul Heyman was left alone in the ring with Jey [Uso] and the chair was there. Paul Heyman, he’s not a top guy you can hit a bunch of stuff.”

A Rules Of Engagement segment has also been booked for Roman Reigns on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We will have to wait and see how the segment will be booked.
