Alexa Bliss has worked hard to become one of the most dependable and headline-worthy female Superstars in WWE. She remains a beloved star, but even someone like Bliss needs a break once in a while. Now it appears Bliss explained the importance of taking a break from WWE.

The former RAW Women’s Champion last wrestled at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, where she squared off against Bianca Belair in a match for the RAW Women’s Championship. Bliss lost the match and she took time off right after that.

Since her absence, Alexa Bliss appeared on The Masked Singer, accomplished goals and also kept herself busy with numerous appearances on TV shows. Bliss also previously announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

Alexa Bliss has also undergone several changes over the course of many years. While speaking with The Messenger, Bliss stated that it is important for her to take time off from WWE and reinvent her character.

Time away is always a good thing. When it comes to WWE, time away and reinventing a character and evolving yourself is the key to career longevity at WWE. So I always say, time away is such a good thing because it gives people the time to miss you.

When you’re being seen on WWE three or four times an episode, you don’t really have anywhere to go with your character. So whenever you take time off, it’s always a good time to evolve and to keep going. And I’ve already been probably six or seven different versions of myself. And each time it’s done well with merchandise sales, with bookings and all that stuff. So I don’t really like to go backwards with my work. I always like to go forward.

Alexa Bliss and Ryan Cabrera also recently announced that they will have a baby daughter. Alexa Bliss also plans on preparing for her in-ring return very soon after giving birth. We will have to wait and see when Alexa Bliss will make her return to the squared circle, as fans simply want to see her back as soon as possible.
