Seth Rollins is most definitely one of the biggest stars in the WWE right now and he also doesn’t let personal feelings get in the way of his profession. It appears he has mended fences with Matt Riddle after their real life animosity.
During the WWE Draft in 2020, Seth Rollins made it clear that he had no interest in squaring off against Matt Riddle. It was reported that the beef between the two was very real as well.
The beef started after Riddle’s ex-wife body-shamed Becky Lynch in now-deleted Instagram post. Thankfully, the beef between the two didn’t interfere and they ended up having a great feud.
While speaking with Logan Paul on Impaulsive, Seth Rollins talked about the feud with Matt Riddle. Rollins stated that they have mended fences now.
“I don’t think there’s ever such a thing as too far. You remember it though, and we’re talking about it months later, so there you go.
We had a bit of a real life beef, if you will, I had a bit of an issue with him, so you kind of got to see that play out on live television a little bit, so we worked it to our favour because now we have a moment that’s viral and something you remember that affected you so, win win win I would say.
Fine. Fine yeah, totally good. Look, I’m a professional so like if we can work together, we can work together, things that happen outside of here, that is what it is.
But like, he apologised and we mended fences and I’m all about like, I don’t write anybody off, I’m not one of those guys that’s like ‘no second chances, you do wrong by me I hate you forever’, like I’m not that stubborn, it’s not that serious.”
At WWE Extreme Rules, Seth Rollins squared off against Matt Riddle in a Fight Pit match, with Daniel Cormier as the special guest referee. Matt had the advantage as a former MMA fighter and tapped out Seth to win the match. Regardless, it’s great to know that the two are on much better terms.
