Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest Superstars in WWE right now and it was been building up since his return at WrestleMania 38 last year. In fact, his insane star power is simply unbelievable right now. That said, it appears Booker T believes he played a huge role in Rhodes’ insane success.

Cody Rhodes’ initial WWE run was full of ups and downs, as he never quite reached the level he wanted to in the company. His most successful run was as the Intercontinental Champion, where he was known as ‘Dashing’ Cody Rhodes.

In late 2011 and early 2012, Booker T and Cody Rhodes feuded over the Intercontinental Championship. The American Nightmare got much-needed experience by working with the WWE Hall Of Famer.

While speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm, Booker T talked about his feud with Cody Rhodes and noted how it allowed Rhodes to truly establish himself as a performer. Booker T stated that he believes he played a huge role in Rhodes’ insane success.

“I feel like I got a huge part in Cody Rhodes’ success [Booker laughed]. I chose to put Cody Rhodes over [in 2011]. I wanted to work with Cody. I just saw [a] world championship-caliber athlete in Cody. I said, man, let me help him out a little bit, and I think working with Cody definitely gave him that sense of, man, I could do this, and then him going out on his own. He proved that he could do it.”

Brock Lesnar accepted Cody Rhodes’ challenge for a match at WWE SummerSlam on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see how the match will turn out.
