WWE Makes Big Switch For Ronda Rousey SummerSlam Angle

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are set to throw down at SummerSlam. It seems that WWE has gone a different direction with things.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have apparently switched up their roles on the road to the biggest party of the summer.

Last week, Shayna was the heel. This week she’s the babyface. It’s like they’re, do they do a thing where every week they have to switch this?

It was noted that Ronda Rousey was booked as a babyface cutting a promo in the crowd last week. Then when she started talking about how she’s the greatest, then that changed for her.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were supposed to have a longer run as tag team champions, but Rousey’s injury postponed that. She also has a hard out with the company, so WWE won’t have Rousey around for very much longer at this point.

Needless to say, this has been a really interesting angle. Only time will tell how it all turns out, but we will have to keep a close eye on this entire situation, right here at Ringside News.
