Pat McAfee became a big name in the world of the NFL before making his way to WWE. Fans had no idea just how integral McAfee would become in the company during his tenure there. While McAfee is absent from WWE again, it appears his return opponent has been revealed.

Pat McAfee made his WWE debut in 2018 and quickly established a feud with Adam Cole. By 2021, he had transitioned to being a color commentator on SmackDown, joining Michael Cole.

Even Michael Cole himself would go on record and state that Pat McAfee reignited his passion for pro wrestling. He was last seen on WWE television during the Royal Rumble and has been absent since. A lot happened after that, as he became a father and even secured lucrative deal with ESPN.

During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, The Miz called out Pat McAfee, calling him the ‘most overpaid person in sports’. This comes after The Miz expressed his interest in a match against McAfee while speaking with local media.

Pat McAfee will also get a ton of money every year from his insane ESPN deal. We will have to wait and see whether Pat McAfee will return to feud with The Miz by the time SummerSlam takes place.
