AEW has a lot of veteran performers on their roster, but it seems that Madison Rayne has been absent for a reason. The former Knockouts Champion is out of action with an injury.
Madison Rayne joined AEW as a coach in August 2022 and has showcased her wrestling skills at both AEW and ROH events. She recently opened up about her injury and expressed her desire to make a comeback soon.
Rayne’s most recent in-ring appearance took place at an ROH taping on April 7th. However, in June, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that she had been sidelined with a foot injury.
During a virtual signing event with East Coast Autograph Auctions, Rayne confirmed that her time away from the ring was due to a broken foot. Despite the setback, she remains optimistic and determined to return to action as soon as possible.
“My most recent Ring of Honor match, fun fact about this photo, this was moments before I broke my foot, which is why I’ve been out of commission for the last three months. But fingers crossed, I’ll be back in the ring soon.”
“You guys, I want Madison at Wembley. I’m doing everything I can to get myself cleared to be back in the ring before Wembley. I miss those trips to the UK. I miss the fans over there.”
Madison Rayne also made it very clear that she is still with Tony Khan’s company. This is good since her employment status hasn’t changed despite her injury.
“I am still in AEW. I am recovering from injury that I sustained back in April. Hopefully, I will be cleared soon to get back in the ring. But yes, in the meantime, I am still coaching, I am still doing several things backstage, growing into new positions within the company, loving every second of it. Love my job, love where I am in my career right now, and fingers crossed, within the next few weeks, I will be cleared to get back in the ring,”
Madison Rayne’s contributions as both a coach and a competitor have been valuable to AEW, and fans eagerly await her return to the ring, where she can continue to showcase her talents and make an impact in the world of professional wrestling.
We will have to see how long it takes for Madison Rayne to make it back to the ring. She can certainly provide a lot of guidance whenever that day comes.
