WWE called Pretty Deadly up to the main roster as part of the 2023 Draft. Prior to that, they had a very successful run on NXT and established themselves as a top tag team there. They also had a solid match on Smackdown this week, but Elton Prince got injured. Now it appears Prince commented on his injury following the match.
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, The Brawling Brutes squared off against Pretty Deadly in a tag team match. During the match’s closing moments, Elton Prince exposed the turnbuckle and sent Ridge crashing into it. He hit his signature leg drop off the top rope for the victory.
However, Elton Prince ended up suffering a separated shoulder injury. While speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, Elton Prince claimed that for a lesser man, it was a career-ending injury. Prince then further claimed that he will be back in action very soon.
“Let me make this absolutely clear to everybody. This is the kind of injury that puts the average person out for years. I’d say career end.” Prince continued, “This is a career-ending injury but not for me. No, no, no, no, I might just take a couple of weeks off. I’ll be back to, you know, I’ll be spiffing again boy. What do you think?”
It is not known whether Elton Prince will just take a couple of weeks to recover from his injury or if he will be out of action for a longer time. Regardless, we will keep you updated on his condition.
