LA Knight’s popularity has exploded in recent memory, and fans can’t get enough of him. WWE knows they have something special in him, and even analysts see similarities with greats and the former Eli Drake.
Although Kevin Nash took a shot at LA Knight, saying that he is ripping off The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. That being said, not everyone sees that as a bad thing.
During a recent episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the wrestling legend spoke highly of Knight, praising his exceptional promo skills and in-ring abilities. Mantell even compared The Megastar’s character to the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin, emphasizing his potential. Mantell expressed the belief that WWE should heed the voices of their fans and push Knight to the top of the roster, recognizing his talent and potential for success.
“He has a certain vibration about him, a vibe they say when he walks down to the ring. I get a little bit of a Stone Cold [Steve Austin] vibe when I see him, even more than The Rock. But he’s a great talker, [a] good worker, and the people like him. Even being a heel, I’ve seen this a lot of times. You put a performer out there, and you want people to dislike him, yet on the other hand, they go the other way. So you have to listen to them because if you continue to push him as a heel, the fans will bail on you. We don’t want to see him that way, we kinda like him.”
LA Knight has become a prominent figure in the pro wrestling scene, generating considerable buzz over the past few months. Despite facing criticism from legends like Kevin Nash, who accused him of imitating The Rock, Knight continues to win over the hearts of the WWE Universe. His captivating presence in the ring consistently garners overwhelmingly positive reactions from the crowd, solidifying his status as a crowd favorite.
LA Knight will continue getting a focus in WWE. At this point, he has a lot of eyes on him. Knight is also vying for a United States Titles shot. He is in a fatal four-way match, where if he wins, he will face Santos Escobar for a shot at Austin Theory’s title.
We’ll have to see if WWE books LA Knight the way that fans want. For more on this story, and many more, please stay tuned with us here at Ringside News. Also, please use the comments below to let us know what you’re thinking!
