Santana Says His ‘Comeback Is Personal’ Amidst AEW Absence

Santana and Ortiz made their debut in AEW back in 2019 and almost instantly became one of the mainstays of AEW’s tag team division. Unfortunately, the two are no longer on good terms whatsoever. That said, it appears he dropped a tease about his return recently.

Santana sustained a knee injury during an episode of Dynamite in June of last year, while performing a uranage on Daniel Garcia during the Blood and Guts match. This caused him to take time off to recover from the injury.

Last year, it was reported that Santana might be thinking about leaving AEW. Santana was tweeting cryptic countdowns such as “126 days” and “Soon.” This led to fans believing he was done with AEW for good.

While he remains absent from AEW television, Santana took to Twitter and simply stated that his comeback to AEW will be personal. Naturally, fans are excited for his return as well.

Santana is expected to return to in-ring action and fans are excited for his return. Santana even dropped tease about an in-ring return last month. We’ll have to wait and see when he will return to AEW.
