AEW has a roster full of exciting stars, and Nick Wayne is the most recent addition to the roster as a full-time talent. Wayne had a solid in-ring debut on Dynamite this week and it appears he made a strong impression on the AEW audience this week.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Nick Wayne made his in-ring debut against Swerve Strickland, in what would become their third match together. Needless to say, Wayne impressed many with his debut.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Nick Wayne’s debut on Dynamite this week. Meltzer noted how Wayne was able to make a big impression on the AEW audience.

“He got over really big with the crowd. Definitely, the ring-siders were chanting for him. [Wayne] did some cool stuff. I don’t think they had a great match … It was a good match but the crowd was very into it.”

AEW pulled out all the stops in order to book Nick Wayne as a big deal thanks to the vignettes prior to the match. Regardless, it remains to be seen how Nick Wayne will be booked in the coming weeks, as he certainly has a bright future ahead of him.
