Chris Jericho Criticized For Getting Stale On AEW Television

Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the professional wrestling world, having been a part of it for thirty years now. Jericho has shown time and time again that he is very selfless when it comes to putting over talent. That said, it appears he was criticized for being stale on AEW television.

Le Champion has faced off against numerous talented pro wrestlers over the course of his four years in AEW. Jericho has never failed to put over talent such as MJF, Orange Cassidy, Action Andretti and more. He even lost to all of the above talent and more in order to establish them.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho and Don Callis were involved in a promo segment where Callis asked Jericho to join him. Chris Jericho ended up giving a vague answer. He teased at leaving the Jericho Appreciation Society as well.

While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan talked about the recent Dynamite segment between Chris and Don Callis. He criticized Chris Jericho for being stale as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society and stated that joining Callis might be a good thing.

“I just didn’t understand why out of nowhere, maybe because he’s in Alberta and that’s where he started, he just turned face. He just literally turned face, a babyface interview out of nowhere, why? I don’t understand that.

You’re a heel, what are you a heel everywhere except your hometown? That might just be me. I like his response, “maybe,” I did like that and I wouldn’t mind seeing [Don] Callis and [Chris] Jericho together. I thought Jericho was getting a bit stale with the Jericho [Appreciation] Society thing you know, it happens. So either one of two things, he’s either going to join Callis and become even more hated, doesn’t look like it after that promo he did, or he becomes a humongous babyface going against Callis and his family.”

We will have to wait and see whether Chris Jericho will end up joining Don Callis’ family as it could prove to be an interesting turn of events in the coming weeks.
