Shawn Michaels has a lot of stories about his legendary career. He is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, but sadly, Chris Candido never saw that same shine on his own career before his tragic passing.
Jonny Candido recently shared a story about his brother, Chris Candido. Of course, Candido was in a relationship with Tammy Lynn Sytch, who later had an affair with Shawn Michaels.
It turns out that Chris Candido requested that he avoid getting into conflicts or fights with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
Chris Candido and Sunny started dating at the age of 17 and worked together in various wrestling promotions, including Smoky Mountain Wrestling, WWE, and ECW. During their time in WWE, Sunny started an outside relationship with Shawn Michaels.
While employed by the Stamford-based company, Sunny engaged in a romantic relationship with Shawn Michaels. The 50-year-old revealed that their affair lasted less than a year and came to an end when she declined to leave Chris and move in with The Heartbreak Kid.
During an interview with Cafe de Rene, Jonny Candido recounted the moment when his brother Chris asked him to refrain from engaging in arguments or physical altercations with Shawn Michaels.
“You know, years later, I mean, I’ll say this. When, you know, like, around the time when like right before in 03-04, he was like, ‘Dude, listen.’ He’s like, ‘You’re gonna come across Shawn Michaels. Don’t be a dick. Don’t f*cking start anything thinking you’re doing me a favor.’ He’s like, ‘f*cking be cool. For all you know, it’s rumors. And if anything did happen, I haven’t been perfect either. So, it’s water under the bridge. Don’t start anything,'”
Dark Side of the Ring focused on Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch during their latest season. That episode touched on Shawn Michaels’ relationship with Sunny, but it didn’t go into a ton of detail. Obviously, there are more stories that could still be told.
