Kazuchika Okada Eager for Rematch with Bryan Danielson After Forbidden Door Loss

Kazuchika Okada is hailed as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and it is not hard to see why. The multi-time IGWP Heavyweight Champion has competed in some of the best matches in recent memory. Okada lost to Bryan Danielson at the Forbidden Door event and it appears he really wants a rematch with Danielson, no matter what.

Last year, the Rainmaker was part of the main event for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, as he challenged Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in a four-way match that also featured Adam Cole and Hangman Page. Due to injury, Bryan Danielson was not part of the match.

That is exactly why AEW and NJPW decided to book Okada vs Danielson for this year’s Forbidden Door event. The match turned out to be an instant classic as they closed out the Forbidden Door event and had a terrific match that came as no surprise to fans. Okada would end up tapping out to Danielson, making him the first person in 8 years to make Okada submit.

While speaking to Tokyo Sports, Kazuchika Okada made his intentions clear as he really wants a rematch with The American Dragon, adding that he would to win, even if Okada has to break both of Danielson’s arms next time.

“If there is a time to have a rematch, I’d like to win even if I have to break both of Danielson’s arms next time.”

Brie Bella, Bryan Danielson’s wife, revealed that Danielson had complete break and that his injury was worse than initially thought.

It is expected he will be out of action for well over 6-8 weeks, so we’ll have to see when Danielson will be able to make his in-ring return and if he will ever square off against Kazuchika Okada in a rematch.
