CM Punk and the Young Bucks have notorious issues with each other, and that’s not likely to change any time soon. It seems that there might have been issues from a long time ago.

CM Punk has ventured into various wrestling promotions and even tried his hand at UFC. Following his departure from WWE, he signed with the MMA promotion in December 2014.

After joining UFC, there was speculation about who Punk would face inside the Octagon. However, for several months, no updates were provided regarding his opponent.

During a Q&A session in July 2015, Punk humorously mentioned that since no suitable opponent had been finalized, he jokingly suggested that he might end up competing against Colt Cabana or the former AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks.

“Yeah there you go, who said…, I’m going to fight Colt Cabana. Colt Cabana or the Young Bucks.”

CM Punk is back in AEW, but they are keeping him separate from The Elite on purpose. After all, the two sides don’t get along at all. Hopefully, they will come to some agreement and do business one day, but it seems like that’s not happening any time soon.

Colt Cabana also saw his name-dropped in that press conference. It is important to remember that this was during a time when WWE and CM Punk were also engaged in a legal battle over comments that Punk said on Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast, the genesis of their problems.

CM Punk is certainly a divisive figure in pro wrestling, but would you like to see him back in the UFC? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
