WWE Changes SummerSlam Plan For Team DIY

WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline, but it appears that they can still change things around for SummerSlam. The biggest party of the summer is set to go down at Detroit’s Ford Field on August 5th, but one set of former NXT Tag Team Champions might not get the match as so many expected.

Tommaso Ciampa was just brought back to WWE television. He dyed his beard, and he’s a babyface now. Only time will tell how the backstage storyline with Johnny Gargano develops.

BWE tweeted out behind their private Twitter account that, “DIY jinxed for SS. Diff route now.” It appears that WWE has picked a different direction for Team DIY at SummerSlam.

A RAW spoiler was then tweeted out to say, “Miz finds a solution to a Ciampa’s problem.” We will have to see how that plays out on this week’s show.

It was later noted that this was not a Vince McMahon call. Therefore, it would seem that, by process of elimination, that Triple H made this decision for Team DIY.

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have a ton of fans, and Triple H is one of them. With Vince McMahon around, and able to alter plans whenever he wants, it’s anyone’s guess if Ciampa and Gargano will get the same treatment that Triple H would have given them on his own. As we previously stated, this time was actually not a McMahon call.
