AEW truly changed the face of pro wrestling thanks to its introduction as an alternative to WWE. Less than a year into its inception, the company announced its first-ever game called Fight Forever. The game has been released for almost two weeks now and it appears Tony Khan was heavily involved in the game.
The game was released on June 29th and fans and critics alike have praised it for its solid and addictive gameplay but criticized the game for its lack of quality-of-life features as well as very limited options for customization.
The game will be receiving regular updates and new game modes every once in a while, as the game will already be getting the Stadium Stampede match mode. More characters will also be added soon enough.
According to Justin Leeper, who was the Lead Narrative Designer for Fight Forever’s Road To Elite mode, it was revealed that AEW President Tony Khan was very interested in the game-making process and wanted to participate in the game. Khan provided the voiceover for his in-game voicemails and also gave approval for all the in-game “tweets” in the Road to Elite story mode.
Was honored to have a meeting with @TonyKhan during #AEWFightForever production. He was very interested in the game-making process & wanted to participate. Glad we could get him to do voiceover for his voicemail. He also gave approval on all the “tweets” in #RoadtoElite.
Kenny Omega already promised that the game will get continuous support from its developers. We will have to wait and see how the game will continue to improve in the coming months.
